@mckaycoppins Autopsy is simple. Run on Trump policies in 2022 and 2024-regardless if Trump is on the ticket. -
I think this overestimates effect of Trump policies and underestimates impact of Trump’s celebrity on voters

The left doesn't seem to understand that "the popular vote" isn't a thing. If it were, republicans would have to start paying attention to the margins run up by democrats in major cities. (They probably need to start paying attention to it anyway.)
-
“Not a thing” is such a a lazy characterization. You either mean that the left doesn’t realize that the electoral college chooses president (obviously they do), or you think the popular vote can’t be a useful metric for interpretation, which is just obtuse.

That, and many people already had the autopsy reports written for the most part for the 2020 elections before the election.

@jimantle had a good thread on this. It’s all about the distribution of voters. Some commenters said that means GOP should be focused on Trump issues without insults, but I think those claiming that underestimate effect of Trump’s personal celebrity on his firm floor of support.Thanks. Obama was the incumbent. Trump is only the fourth incumbent kicked out on his butt. They were all terrible Presidents.
-
And one of those ran in a race that featured a populist third-party candidate.
