I answered to that thread with a different angle, and I let myself forget how widespread and natural the "social order" view in conservatism has been in our history. This may have revived as a dividing line. We'll see how the fabric of society holds these next few years.

I'd say social *norms* because that would de-emphasize the role of external controls relative to the role of individuals internalizing common values
