I m drunkenly wrote Netflix 4-12 complaints that ‘the running man’ a movie I own in 3 physical media formats, had been taken off their streaming service because I was too lazy to get it in the next room and possibly wake my wife at 3am. 4 days later, I got an email it was back.

I forgot how ubiquitous AOL CDs were. They were inserted in every magazine, direct mail from AOL, on hotel pillows in lieu of chocolates, trade show swag, stripper pasties . . . not sure where I was going with that.

We flung AOL discs to down what few gulls there were on the sand-swept streets of the Jersey Shore. When the discs broke, we used the shards to turn driftwood into crude clubs, and fought cruel proxy wars for either Bruce, or bonJovi. I can still hear the howls of the IROCs...

I still remember the epic bonfire me and two friends made at Lake Erie State Park in Dunurk ~20 years ago. It was six feet tall and topped with an AOL installation CD. The park rangers drove by at least twice to make sure we didn't burn the whole place down.
