If you are going to use Al Gore in 2000 as a model, you may not have thought through how that turned out for him.

A week, Dan. Can he have a week?
-
Pretty sure most people are saying that the President can and should explore his legal options, but should do so without the Tweets and press conferences. He can take however long it takes to determine the merits of those legal positions, but blanket statements are unhelpful.

Levin knows this “the Media called the race for Gore for 37 days before the courts fixed it” narrative is revisionist BS. But he’s going with it anyway.
-
They initially called it for Gore and gave him FL. Within a relatively short period, they rescinded it and called it for Bush. They then rescinded that call and waited.

I don't recall Gore ever being called President-Elect.
-
Because he wasn’t. The current Trumpian BS is to claim the networks all called the Presidency for Gore for 37 days instead of Florida—and only Florida—for a couple hours before rescinding it.

This isn’t 2000. That was counting and only counting. This is about fraud. Different process, different evidence, different timeline. Certified vote totals are not the end. The electoral college safe harbor deadline is 12/8. Calm down.
-
This resort to “relax” or “calm down” as rhetorical devices is pretty weak.
