I confess I have some biases about elections that go beyond partisanship. I hate extended early voting, slow vote counts, runoffs, recounts, jungle primaries & ranked-choice voting. Have everybody vote at once between two choices. Count the votes. Declare a winner. Move on.

My practical position, as opposed to my bias, is that early voting should start on Saturday, maybe Friday. Most anybody who gets any days off at all a week can vote 1 of the 4 days from Saturday to Tuesday.https://twitter.com/sohri/status/1325490686926446592 …

Sameer Ohri @sohriI was actually sold on crank’s position on extended early voting this year when ACB’s hearings/nom was going on as people were voting. It was odd. But the idea that 150 million people all have to vote on a Tuesday is silly, outdated and quite obviously suboptimal. We can fix it. https://twitter.com/baseballcrank/status/1325483419573374980 …Show this thread15 replies 7 retweets 78 likesShow this thread -

I spent my career in a job that often had me away from home for weeks at a time. Absentee/mail in voting was the only way I could be sure to be able to vote.
