A little more red-optimistic on this color scheme, but the basic concept is the geographic breakdown. I list Virginia, Colorado, & Illinois as "Blue Islands" because they are distinctly bluer than their regional neighbors, so harder to swing.pic.twitter.com/cVkGb3j3hY

212 electoral votes between the Sun Belt & Rust Belt, with nearly every state in both regions competitive, is actually a prescription for healthy politics that requires both parties to continually adjust.

It's looking very, very purple here. My country friends are bright red, my city/suburb friends are bright blue. Beto came within 3 points two years ago and that was with saying he wanted to take away guns. Plus under 30 vote is up 600%... not a great sign for Trump
