Politicians may try varying degrees of fake Southern and Southern-black accents, all droppin' the Gs & whatnot, but just once I'd like to see a politician try that with a Southie accent.

Weird but true fact: New Orleans accents sound like Boston accents. When I lived there, I had no problems understanding people thanks to my NoLa family.

When I moved from NJ to New England people pointed out that I said certain words weirdly, for example Water, and I have since changed how I say it, and it’s jarring when I hear my Jersey friends and family say it. I haven’t dropped my Rs though.
