Would maker Harris a more powerful than usual VP with the tie breaking vote.
-
Yes & no. She'd be able to do little else but break ties.

does the VP break ties on Senate rules changes like the filibuster or just on legislative and confirmation votes?
-
Irrespective of the rules, a 50-50 Senate simply isn’t going to toss the legislative filibuster.

Honestly, if Rs walk away with a 51-49 R Senate in a “close” Trump loss I’d live with it. Blunts almost anything short of executive orders from happening for at LEAST 2 years.

2022 Senate map is incredibly favorable to Ds even with midterm incumbent history. Ds have almost no vulnerable seat (maybe NV) and PA, OH, WI, NC, FL, IA pickup opportunities.

Would really get to test the centrist Fred of Manchin and Sinema and see if these new democratic senators who promised moderation were being honest.

The US Senate is the Cell of Little Ease for the Democrats Agenda because the US Senate vastly over represents White voters and underrepresents minorities.
