The real problem here is that the District Court and 8th Circuit accepted jurisdiction - this is a pure state law question! ("Was the consent decree a Court order triggering the SOS's authority to adjust election procedures?") What's it doing in Federal Court?

The question, though, is were the written rules designed for a country in turmoil due to a highly contagious virus spreading throughout the population? Again, I think both sides would like to see voting augmented given the circumstances. Republicans live on the senior vote.
