Isn't the precedence set in Arizona State Legislature v. Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission such that the legislature can delegate away its powers re: elections to other bodies, in this case the state election's board - which the legislature created?

Ofc one could argue that case was incorrectly decided, but it seems inappropriate for the court to overturn that decision so close to an election.

My Copy of the Constitution has Art I, Sect 4. It’s pretty damned clear. What’s wrong with Roberts and Kavanaugh?

State “Legislature” in the Constitution means a body that makes laws. It can mean the state govt, it can mean the representative assembly ( what most people think) and according to the Supreme Court it can mean a state ballot initiative, by the people.

Where’s your recitation of the original understanding of the Framers on this point? One would think you’d find time to mention whether what you’re saying tracks with the one and only legitimate mode of Constitutional interpretation.

That this is where you direct your ire is just so, so, so, so telling. A clarity washes over me.
