"Most people" here meaning online progressives. On Court-packing, the public opinion polling is heavily against it - almost as heavily as it was in 1937.

I think Joe Biden has no interest in radical revisions of our constitutional system, but the GOP has created a market for such solutions among a large number of Americans by its own behavior, and he's not going to get into that street fight now, because he's not an idiot.
-
So, he is going to be a radical then?

I’m pretty sure Biden thinks packing the Court is a terrible idea. I do not fully understand the political dynamics of why he won’t say that. I think maybe he overestimates AOC’s actual power.
-
I think he's running a tight and well-disciplined campaign that isn't fighting about the issues you'd wish he'd fight about, which is why there's a 9 out of 10 chance he'll win next week. (Not a sure thing, but a damn good chance.)

Expanding the court under the current circumstances isn’t radical, though.

He doesn't get this yet.

How about "Biden should use the GOP's behavior in the 1860s as his guide?" How does that work?

If we use the word "rebalance," though, that makes it not radical. So obvious.
