Right. I mean, I could have told you decades ago why Biden had no business being president. Just admit you've decided to change bums.https://twitter.com/IMAO_/status/1318196498941775874 …

Which was not even a controversial observation until now among conservatives or, for that matter, progressives, many of whom trashed the guy during the primaries.https://twitter.com/StevenJDuffield/status/1318176167749472259 …

Is Biden all bad? No. He once held a number of moderate issue stances & institutionalist views, many of which he's now bullied out of. He seems like a nice guy away from politics, except there's very little "away from politics" after 47 years in the game.

But fundamentally, the guy's national security judgment is awful, he's a chronic liar & fabulist, he has the backbone of a limp noodle, & at almost 78 he's visibly slowed & likely to continue. Running against Trump does not magically make any of that less true.

Really curious as to what the folks say in 2024 when someone like Haley or DeSantis is on the ballot. Probably some cop out such as "Well Trump's influence is still on the party so vote Democrat forever"
-
It depends. For Haley or DeSantis, for sure. I personally will never vote for anyone who either helped spread the COVID is a Hoax lie or voted to acquit him when impeached. Those were basic rule of law and safety questions they failed

I can buy Trump is so terrible you need to vote for Biden, but don't try to tell me Biden isn't terrible. It just makes you come off like a used-car salesman.

The fun will be watching these conservatives justify their Biden vote for next four years and forget their conservative principles.
-
I think for the most part they have forgotten them already. It is rough out there in never Trump land and the Bulwark for instance is laying the ground work to vote for no republican ever. Everyone in office now is a Vichycon, except for Mitt Romney maybe. That is bad news.
