I have to think a lot of pro-life voters find it appalling to watch nominees get browbeaten over pro-life statements in a way that treats those views quite differently from their opposite - even when the opposite literally kills children.

A vast majority of the country supports Roe v Wade, an even greater majority opposes overturning it. Your framing the Pro-Choice viewpoint as out of touch and confined to “polite DC discourse” is ironic: it’s actually your viewpoint which is out of step with the country.

It's probably because the pro-life commitment seems to end at birth for so many. Everyone should be pro-life.. And as has worked in the past, work to make abortion safe and rare. But they dont. I don't know why.
