Biden has, many times over his career, correctly described FDR's Court-packing plan as corrupt & dangerous. Shame on him that he no longer has the courage to say so.https://twitter.com/HowardMortman/status/1315613274440900615 …

Biden 8/11/1987 on FDR Supreme Court packing (context: Bork nom): May 1937 "Judiciary Committee was controlled by Democrats all loyal New Dealers. Though they supported FDR political ends, they refused to allow him to pursue them through judicial means. Integrity of the Court..." pic.twitter.com/9R0yuQEOOe

You guys have given up any moral legitimacy to claim that anyone else should be ashamed on essentially any subject over the last four years.

To be fair, he probably doesn't remember any of that. Or what day it is, what office he's running for, or his own name.

Just a side note to all this, but I firmly believe that if you described to Republicans circa 2000 how reliant they would be just twenty years later on counter-majoritarian and anti-democratic strategies to maintain power, they would have bristled with indignant disbelief.

This is completely different. FDR tried to pack the court because he didn't like the decisions of legitimately-appointed judges. None of those seats were stolen. Republicans have stolen at least one of these seats, and so it is just as legal/fair to compensate by adding seats.
