Contrarian thought, sort of: even with the expansion, the best teams are still playing. One might argue the Padres w/ no injuries might be better than the Braves, but a Braves-Dodgers and Rays/Yankees-Astros are still worthy.

Last year, 4 of the 7 contests went the distance, after we got to 8 teams. In ‘18, only one did. ‘17 saw 3 of the 7 go to 5 or 7 games. Only 2 in ‘16. So,that first round was an aberration in more ways than 1, but that only one of the 2nd round has gone 5 doesn’t say a lot yet.
