It's employer-provided healthcare. And yet, a politically powerful patient undoubtedly received better care than an ordinary federal employee would. Maybe not your best case.https://twitter.com/BernieSanders/status/1313532629099122688 …

Mr. President: You attack “socialized medicine” every single day. Well, let's be clear. The excellent care you received at Walter Reed was at a 100% government-funded, government run hospital. For Trump, "socialized medicine" is bad for everyone but himself. Total hypocrisy!

it's always funny to hear advocates for socialism that can't accurately describe socialism. I'm surprised he didn't point out that the roads Trump drives on are socialist.

There's a reason he put "socialized" in scare quotes. Because Republicans repeatedly call anything involving the government "socialism."

The employer is the federal government. And so the solution to the latter problem is....take health insurance away from tens of millions of people and ensure that it’s never universal for the working class, but that the wealthy always have it. Got it.

Also: You have to understand that the line about Trump getting “employer sponsored health care” is unbelievably stupid. Why not just say that, for you, health insurance is a commodity like a car and, if you can’t afford it, you’re out of luck? That’s your view, right?

What do you think medical care is like under Communism? Top care for party officials, let everyone else die. Officially, it must be called single payer. Socialism does not protect the vulnerable; it exploits them, protected by bureaucracy’s natural lack of transparency.
