Argument from incredulity is not a basis for having standards. Look, this is my area of expertise. I've studied it in depth. I've proposed a standard based on that study. Do you have such a proposal?

This isn’t a matter of expertise. “What about John Marshall” isn’t a standard. Like Frum and others, I fundamentally distrust the motives of anyone who accepts an appointment from Trump about anything. That’s a judgement on my part. It’s not case law.
