The article references norms quite a bit. Your initial tweet referenced 'rules.' The rules allow the president and Congress to expand the Court with their 'raw power.' Don't call it breaking the rules if they do so. If you do, then call refusing to vote breaking a 'rule,' too. 1/

Don't skip over the fact that McConnell refused to vote on Garland. I would not have complained too much if they had voted, but said no. The fear was that enough Republicans would have said yes that he would have made it to the Court. That's why your argument doesn't hold water.
