Truly, my wife and I, both in our 60s, do not believe anything government or press tells us. Granted that is a pretty sad state of affairs but it’s not our fault. We have been forced into it by all of them. We only believe something after time proves it true or false.

The question "How many times will people have to fall for this before they learn?" assumes they're falling for something, or think they have something to learn. Confirmation bias seeks to avoid answers, not find them.
