“Escape” in this context is so broad—could be movies, TV, music, exploring nature, playing sports, etc. Really out of touch comment by Cowherd.

The underlying message is that we don't deserve it. We don't deserve spacious houses. We don't deserve nice dinners out. We don't deserve sports and entertainment. We don't deserve to live in any sort of comfort as long as the revolutionaries think there's injustice.

His argument is also dumb. People like to watch sports in the same way some people like video games or other people like exercising. It can be a nice few hours to not think about bills and stress. Would Colin like someone going up to him on vacation and shouting about BLM?

I love sports, season ticket holder for the Padres, play fantasy sports, coach baseball ect. The politics in sports is fine by me and doesn’t change my perspective at all. In fact, the activism inspires me and gives hope.
