Why wouldn't it be reasonable? Trump has shown over and over he'll break the rules to his own benefit no matter who it might hurt.

Of course there is a reasonable fear based on past practice—you act like Trump is a person of unimpeachable integrity! It’s a matter of whether Trump does more of what we know he is already doing—muscle the FDA. And whether scientists resign in protest or not.

Yeah, it's not as if the president would mislead the country about something as lethal as COVID-19 just for some type of political benefit. Anyone who's used the comprehensive testing website made by Google to get their instacure Hydroxychloroquine and plasma can tell you that.

I don't mistrust a vaccine because Trump is president. I mistrust a vaccine because it would be by far the fastest a vaccine has ever been created, and just happens to coincide with a presidential election in which the incumbent has a strong political incentive to rush one.

It is absolutely reasonable for people to mistrust a vaccine developed in mere months, approved by an FDA led by Trump's appointees, and released within weeks of the presidential election. It's unreasonable *not* to be suspicious of a vaccine produced under those circumstances

Career politician filibusters a question he doesn't have a good answer to and pivots to attack his opponent. Press fails to ask follow up.
