Obviously, it's not good when USPS' performance is slow enough all around that campaigns can't get election mailers delivered close to primary day. But the fact that the audit did not show any delay in ballots is inconsistent with the Democrats' conspiracy theory.

In order for the postal service to work efficiently, they really can't go around separating ballots from regular mail anyway. The mail is not meant for this.

Also from the article: The audit, published Monday, doesn’t specify what kind of political mail the delayed pieces were, but says the mail, sent on May 12, "sat unprocessed” for five days before being discovered by management at the facility. Great writing.
