Big smile, glib bucket list remark and reference to the “Fuhrer”—nobody had to “deliberately” smear this guy and I would think a bit more carefully about seeing Drezner as the problem here.

Cutting off the caption is shabby, dishonest hackery & you both know it. Have you never met a young person excited by history? Hell, I was just this afternoon reading the memoirs of a 19th century British general fascinated by Napoléon.

I don’t why you assume that anybody would think they needed some ulterior motive to slam this guy—and truth is, most people who respect sources and have scholarly training don’t deliberately do things like that so it’s insulting for you to find that so obvious in this case.
