Looks like you deliberately chose to RT an account that left off the full caption referring to it as the home of "supreme evil."

Big smile, glib bucket list remark and reference to the “Fuhrer”—nobody had to “deliberately” smear this guy and I would think a bit more carefully about seeing Drezner as the problem here.

Cutting off the caption is shabby, dishonest hackery & you both know it. Have you never met a young person excited by history? Hell, I was just this afternoon reading the memoirs of a 19th century British general fascinated by Napoléon.

Dan, I was a young person excited enough by history to get a PhD in it, and by no means did I want to visit Hitler’s vacation home. I’m encouraged to hear what his full quote was, but there is a reason the Germans have tried to make it difficult to see sites tied to Hitler.

Dan McLaughlin Retweeted Yashar Ali 🐘
This came from Yashar, who at least posted the full quote - Drezner went out of his way to RT instead a guy who did nothttps://twitter.com/yashar/status/1293017804405215233 …

Yashar Ali 🐘Verified account @yasharJust seeing these@CawthornforNC Instagram posts from 2017...my god. Referring to Hitler with the honorific “Führer.” Saying a visit to Hitler’s vacation home where he planned out unspeakable atrocities as a “bucket list” moment...as if it’s a visit to the Grand Canyon pic.twitter.com/AvgNSe23cO2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
Look, I think we should try to offer as much information/context in tweets as possible. But it doesn’t change the basic facts: it’s a pretty bad look for him.

"You should be more somber about visiting dark historical sites" is a completely different hit from "hey this guy is a secret Nazi" which we all know here is just a flat out libel.

Is the fact that you follow 1812 people a sign that you support James Madisons’ disastrous war?
