If you strictly limit the discussion to SCOTUS and to federal rather than state policy and to federal policies explicitly grounded in federal statutes and to five of the nine Justices, OK. My point about the broad hostility of the federal bench to restriction policy stands.
Even if I concede the point about states (I don’t see E-Verify Whiting v AZ), if SCOTUS saying the president can block anyone at anytime for any reason (and he has) doesn’t count as the most important immigration restriction power, then I guess we’re talking passed each other.
