I would suggest that going forward, heavy communication that not everyone has/needs to go to college and to try to weigh cost to benefit curve. Work to provide lower rates and better terms to existing loans. Outright cancellation is not good.

How? They are not paying now ... so there is no sudden excess cash if their debt is canceled. Just more debt for those of us who made better choices.
