Every piece of evidence we have says Trump is in deep trouble. But experience makes us cautious, and not unreasonably so, about believing the evidence we have.https://twitter.com/NRO/status/1278870980014866438 …

Some of it was wrong. It was wrong this far out. And in places like Michigan, it was wrong from start to finish.

The leads are weak. I mean, the evidence is weak. The same schmucks who tried: * Faithless Electors * 25th Amendment * Russia Collusion * Ukraine Collusion * China Collusion * Russia Collusion 2.0 (Bounty Hoax, which @NYTimes has already walked back) #MaxwellDidntKillHerself

The...pollsters? The polls, recall, were pretty well within the usual range in 2018. Not in every race, but on the whole. I'm taking a grain of salt, but pollsters weren't the ones pushing Russiagate.

He’s a wildly inaccurate writer and he’s cherry picking polls rather than aggregating—no serious pollster reads the polling trajectory in ‘16 like this. Just zipping thru article, he gets a very easy to check thing wrong—Johnson and Stein got 5.6% of the vote, not 4%. Trump

might win, but this essay does not provide a useful or accurate comparison with 2016 surveys. (See remarks by @NateSilver538 @Nate_Cohn and @ForecasterEnten on this.)
