The lesson Trump seems to have taken from the past week is that a regular process & competent staff work are not important in case a legal fight ends up being decided by Chief Justice Roberts.

He was appointed as acting attorney but then installed by the judges in the district according to law when Trump didn’t officially nominate him or anyone else.
