Or maybe democrats could see through the weak booklicking attempts to tie teachers unions to police unions. I haven't found any instances of teachers unions demanding to retain teachers who've killed innocent civilians? Maybe you know of one?
-
So some government unions will be more equal than others? I think it's fair to remain dubious of the claim unless and until we see some legislation that would result in such, is constitutional, and enjoys more than token democratic support.

End qualified immunity and require the union to indemnify municipal governments for damages. Would have a pretty big impact on incentives for both unions and individual officers.

Sounds like a good idea.

Easy. Break the police union and strengthen the teachers union. There. No cognitive dissonance in that at all. Police brutality bad. Teachers, good. Let's pay teachers the same as investment bankers. Let's show what our priorities are as a society.

The Teachers Union is not the Police Union, and considering the Police Unions haven’t really supported Dem Candidates in years, this point is kind of moot

It’s the only Union that gets the full support of the GOP.
