We can be a society that listens to peaceful protests or suffers from violent protests, but we're kind of stuck with both until we deal with injustice. Perhaps next time some guy takes a knee at a football game and protests peacefully, rather than sneer, we listen.

There can be no excuses for rioting. End of discussion. I'm sure that these methods don't help a shit in advancing causes against injustices. Only distract. And you've got to face injustices everywhere. There are many places much worse than the U.S. for minorities.

You're right. Cops should be arresting the white supremacists dressed in black uniform who are acting destructive and they should be guarding businesses. Instead they're focusing all their resources on peaceful protestors.
