So, to summarize, we have the cops fired & denounced by every level of govt & investigated by FBI within a day. Arrest by the end of the week. This is, by the standards of American justice, an astoundingly rapid response. But hey, maybe there are still TVs left at Target.https://twitter.com/jennfranconews/status/1266418475863425024 …

Why don't you actually listen to protestors? They're protesting a long-standing systemic abuse of power.

You misspelled rioters.

Of course I'm not arguing any such thing. But a suspect in a similar situation is often arrested and held as a public danger on suspicion of murder. Indeed, that's where George Floyd was headed - to lockup. right?
-
The optics are stark - Floyd was a danger that needed to be "handled" while Chauvin went home while they decided what to do. Isn't the idea that Chauvin is a public danger in any way compelling?

That’s a disingenuous mischaracterization of what Mark just said. If we were caught killing a dude on video, we’d be booked by the end of the day. Why is it different for a cop?
-
Thank you - much more succinct but exactly what I meant. :) But I can see how Dan could read it the other way. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. (and yes I know this is Twitter). :)

So how does your framing explain the police murders caught on camera that did not result in an arrest or conviction? Isn’t that the justified source of anger? That due process is denied to those unjustly murdered by the police.
