It's a measure of the spread of a particular narrative of historical whitewashing of the Democratic Party that this specific error keeps happening over & over & over again, even when a man who bragged about getting an award from Wallace is the Democratic POTUS nominee in 2020.https://twitter.com/Heminator/status/1263517162150469633 …

Wallace ran for president as a Democrat THREE TIMES and his son won office as a Democrat as late as 1990. But other than that!

He died in 1998! 26 years after Joe Biden was elected to the Senate. Barack Obama, Sarah Palin, and Marco Rubio were all in public office by then.

It's always been Hamilton vs. Jefferson Since the founding of the republic. You can slap whatever names you want on them, but those are the factions that run things. As Wallace said, not a dimes worth of difference between them.

That's not to say that no Democrats are racist but the @GOP is now the proud flag bearer for that cause.

So , we are still pretending that the Democratic party of today is the same as the one that existed when I was 8 years old ? Or that Dixiecrats had anything in common with my Lifelong Democratic parents from New Jersey ? If you really believe that point out current parallels.
