If you've ever watched a John Wayne or Clint Eastwood Western, you'll notice that the guy who runs his mouth, swaggers, & talks a big game is never the hero. He's usually the guy who gets shot by Clint or the Duke.

Also, in real life, the West wasn't settled by the Clint Eastwood loner types. It was settled by the Pa Ingalls types, men in covered wagons with a wife, a bunch of kids in tow, a Bible, a gun, & a lot of quiet patience.
