In Michigan, the percentage of positive tests is around 16%. In the Western UP, that number is less than 1%. To be sure, fewer tests have been run per capita in the UP, but one would think that those tests would have been administered to those evidenced the most symptoms.

Yes... but Michigan is also a state where a huge part of the culture is leaving the cities and suburbs for the weekend to head to the rural areas and northern campgrounds. Tho, yes, this means the rural communities esp are suffering economically now...
