Even if you intend to suck it up and pull the lever because of the other guy and/or his party being terrible, it should concern you if you're voting for Biden, or for Trump, that when the election's, over, the guy will be president & be mentally & morally unfit for the job.

A presidential election *is* a binary choice, in terms of its likely outcome, so "compare the two options" is a legitimate argument. But it is no excuse for just refusing to consider a candidate's glaring flaws.

The ultimate question is whether one candidate winning is better/worse than the other candidate winning. A third party/protest vote is a statement that both options are equally good/bad/intolerable. But the question is comparative. Not just "the other guy is bad."

Not to pick on any of these responses individually, but they neatly illustrate how different people process what goes into the voting decision differently.pic.twitter.com/sXRLcW2uZH

The both-sidesism here is wrong. Trump is a criminally minded malignant narcissist. Biden is old. They're not the same. Not by any stretch of the imagination. A vote for the third party candidate will ensure Trump will win. That's on those voters. A huge moral choice.

Between Amash and Biden, only one of them has an opportunity to drive a stake through the heart of Trumpism; and its Biden. That alone makes him winning better.

Voting is personal to me. It's an expression of who I am. If I can't vote for either of the 2 possible winners, that doesn't mean I can't hold and express an opinion regarding which one I prefer to lead the country, given the alternative.

They are symptoms of the problem, not the disease itself. The disease is the corrupted cartel of the current two party system that offers us choices like Trump/Clinton or Trump/Biden. Where are the grownups?

Admit it, you’re voting Trump and ecstatic at the thought of having a conservative Supreme Court for the rest of your life.

I had believed one should vote for the lesser evil. It was pragmatic, but also I didn't see my preferred choice as *evil* and I wanted others to hold more modest standards. Plus voting for president isn't a vanity project. I've come around to 3rd party being worthwhile statement.

Amen. Everyone has to weigh the factors and decide which factors ultimately matter. Is Biden the better human being? Likely Will Trump or Biden produce the better policy outcomes? This is the kicker. And it’s where you make the decision.
