I don’t understand this argument. It seems clear to me that Wittes is saying this type of treatment by the Feds happens a lot, but because it happens to people we don’t support/agree with, many don’t care.

No, I understand his deflection. I'm pointing out that it's fraudulent. Unless he's saying it's ok for "black" "drug dealers?" Is that what he means? Or is he saying that decorated generals deserve the same treatment as terrorists?

My impression was that he was saying it wasn’t okay for anyone, and law enforcement has been doing the same thing to other people for years without the same kind of outcry. And the rule of law should apply equally to decorated generals and accused terrorists.

He says that Flynn is guilty no matter what the outcome, and that it doesn't matter that the FBI sprung a perjury trap. Where does he says it's wrong? All he does is call Flynn defenders racists.

Again, I read that tweet as “if you think this is bad, it’s also bad when it happens to these other people” — which is a point I agree with wholeheartedly.

Nowhere does he say anything close to that -- he says the opposite, in fact. He's saying Flynn supporters are racists for not equally caring, but he never argues that this treatment is wrong. In fact, he says it's fine in the Flynn case.

He says, "Nothing that was done to Flynn by the FBI isn’t done to criminal suspects all over the country" right after arguing Flynn deserves what he got. Nowhere does he say it's wrong. If his argument is that Flynn deserves it, but not terrorists, that would be interesting.

If you read the rest of his timeline it is 1000% clear that he argues that there is nothing whatsoever wrong with the Flynn prosecution.
