Side note: technically, the one in Article IV is the "Privileges and Immunities Clause" and the one in the 14th Amendment is the "Privileges or Immunities Clause". I confess I've frequently used the former terminology for both. Justice Thomas' usage is correct.

This seems like great news for people who want to challenge state’s stay at home orders, no? I also would love a galaxy brained challenge asserting that the 14th’s privileges or immunities is a de facto repeal of 10th amendment. Under a strict view, “states rights” don’t exist.

Think about how this neuters state courts too. A state Supreme Court is by default now no longer the final arbiter of anything in their state. All one needs to do is cite the 14th and it instantly becomes a federal case.
