It’s actually funny. Went to visit my parents a month ago in February on LI. And Chinese ppl were preparing for this already at supermarkets. So to a certain extent you wouldn’t expect it from US-Chinese communities Bc they saw it coming / were warned anecdotally

FWIW Dr. Birx speculated that New York had more exposure because of the number returning from China after the holiday. The 3 airports receiving the most travelers from Wuhan were LA, San Francisco and JFK.
