Have you looked at the poll numbers for how many Democrats trust Trump as a source of information? Now narrow the sample from Democrats generally to frequent Democratic donors. The answer is common sense.https://twitter.com/anamariecox/status/1244741998529126413 …

Untrue. He did not tout fish tank cleaner and I didn't say he did. The substance he touted was in the fish tank cleaner. He touted chloroquine. CDC says chloroquine and chloroquine phosphate (the substance in the fish tank cleaner) are the same thing.

In a 20-character long scientific notation, the first 12 letters at least were identical. To a layman, they're the same thing. That's why nobody wants Trump, who can't even seem to pronounce the names correctly, to be touting them as "miracle drugs" on national TV.

It's not even that the first 12 letters are the same. The ingredient in the fish tank cleaner is *the same substance*: chloroquine phosphate. (That doesn't mean you should drink the cleaner folks!) According to CDC, Mayo, and plenty of other medical sites.https://twitter.com/Patterico/status/1242533579919261696 …

I know a lot of folks on the right said the substance in the fish tank cleaner was a different substance, but the fact that a lot of people confidently repeated that does not make it so. https://www.cdc.gov/malaria/resources/pdf/fsp/drugs/Chloroquine.pdf …

Dude. The person who consumed Aquarium Cleanser is a major Democrat donor. Surely a coincidence. https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/woman-who-ingested-fish-tank-cleaner-was-prolific-donor-to-democratic-causes/ …

Trump mentioned chloroquine. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-vice-president-pence-members-coronavirus-task-force-press-briefing-6/ … CDC says chloroquine is the same as chloroquine phosphate. https://www.cdc.gov/malaria/resources/pdf/fsp/drugs/Chloroquine.pdf …

I don't see how you get from his statement to 'sure, the President said throw a teaspoon of fish tank cleaner in a glass of coke just in case.' That's a level of stupid a few steps beyond what you can reasonably lay at Trump's feet.

I'm not trying to fight with you. I like you. I just don't see what the theory is based on this woman's donations. She said she heard about it from Trump, but you think what actually happened instead? I'm genuinely curious.
