Congrats to everyone who pounded the table the past four years for "good people should refuse to work for the Trump Administration."https://twitter.com/RadioFreeTom/status/1243207018472751112 …

I think you all are correct, especially when you pound tables.

Tables are the real enemy.

You’re wrong in assuming that any independent thinker wouldn’t have been forced out as not being sufficiently obedient to Trump. You’re right if you assume that competent staff would not have ignored the NSC pandemic playbook that the Obama administration put together.

In a vacuum, I don't disagree. But imparting some blame for the current crisis on people who said YEARS ago not to work for Trump -- when we have a solid body of evidence of what happened to the "good people" who DID go to work -- seems disingenuous.

People have not ceased saying this. Some are still calling for Dr. Fauci to resign, for example. It's a long-running argument.

You think good, competent people needed to be "told" to not work for Trump? They saw the writing on the wall. Competence, experience, and expertise were not wanted--and still aren't--by Trump and 90% of Republicans. We have the government the voters deserve.

Taking a job in this administration is honorable above and beyond a way it's not in any normal administration because there's a high chance you don't have a career afterward, at least until it's over. Though I'd qualify with "career in public service." Some private options open.
