The identity-politics obsession of Democrats and their pundit class is, as I've often noted, unhealthy, overblown, & frequently disingenuous. But that sort of thing *is* real sometimes. It's quite obvious with the Klobuchar-Buttigieg dynamic.

The other part Klobuchar didn't quite say but hinted at, on the Lopez Obrador thing: she's almost 60. Not old, but old enough to have the occasional whatsisname moments. Pete isn't, & clearly can't imagine that a person might occasionally forget a name they know.

That part, I think, was screamingly obvious to everyone over 50 who watched that exchange.

Agreed. I think it wins Klobuchar sympathy with professional women, but I'll be surprised if it actually moves the campaign needle in any meaningful way.https://twitter.com/LPDonovan/status/1230531532592381952 …

I thought a Buttigieg was trying to get to get her angry, perhaps because she’s got a reputation for not being able to control her anger.

suspect it does resonate with women, but not sure it moves votes quite like producing Bloomberg's head on a pike. problem for Klobuchar is that Warren had a much better performance overall--inversion of NH. pete is a useful avatar, but he's also not the guy you need to beat.

Her best comments regarding Buttigieg was the 1st or 2nd debate, saying essentially that if the mayor of South Bend was a woman, she wouldn’t have even made it on stage.

if he wasn't gay, he'd be no where near that stage.
