Biden & Warren are both highly conventional Democrats in line with prior nominees; the only real uncertainty is Biden's age. Sanders & Buttigieg are much harder to project.https://twitter.com/SeanTrende/status/1225811382844710915 …

I have no idea how electable Buttigieg is. Genuinely have none. I could make a strong argument either way.

If you want an analogy: Warren is Hillary 16 Biden is Humphrey (maybe Humphrey 72 or 76) Sanders is McGovern 72 Buttigieg is Carter 76 Klobuchar is Muskie 72 How do any of those play in 2020?

Well the first one is pretty easy to play out, assuming the analogy is accurate in all the pertinent ways. Warren doesn't have an ongoing FBI investigation for 1, nor does she have a long track, polarizing track record with conservatives. So not sure it is a great example.

I think Mayor Pete is such a wild card - no washington experience at all and coming from indiana with strong MidWestern vibez - plus his Comms team is all about getting him in front of any and every national media outlet.

Pete as Carter in '76 is a decent comparison imo

Carter 76 was vastly more conservative (and qualified) than Buttigieg 20. I don't recall if I voted for him or not (I was a registered Dem back then), but I wasn't terribly upset or surprised when he won. I did not vote for him or Reagan in 1980; I wrote in Sen. Sam Nunn.

Carter is the only one of the above to get elected.

Good comparisons. But where would one put Bernie? To me, he is coming off as Trump 16 in that there is no fundemental reason why he can win and yet signs are starting to point towards it not only being possible but likely.
