At this rate, the Democrats may yet accomplish something more difficult even than making Donald Trump look moderate or unifying by comparison: making Donald Trump look *competent* by comparison.
We've seen way too many situations like the Census question or the election integrity commission where his team shot itself in the face by not doing basic homework. Attention to detail, spotting traps before you walk into them: not this Admin's strong suit.

No one is above mistakes. The first year was particularly cringe. I think Trump compares favorably with administrations making mistakes. It's the constant buzz of commentators that attempt to create an aura of ineptness.

Plus, you know, the constant attempts to fabricate hoaxes and frame-ups to destroy his administration... that is probably very distracting.

There have been some, as there always are in any organization run by human beings. But the overall performance of the administration has been excellent, and I say that as someone who has real problems with him and didn't vote for him in the primary or general election.

Honesty compels me to state that I definitely would have in the general had I been in a competitive state, as the alternative was so much worse.
