The simple reason why Warren is the weakest of the top 3 Ds is that she appeals most to the voters who are already most likely to show up & vote D anyway.

Nobody (outside of maybe Reagan) has won an election from the debate stage. Plenty of candidates have lost an election there.

not sure that Bernie would get to tossup, but Warren would be utterly crushed. I think Bernie might freak some suburban moderates.

idk if it would be 1:1 but Bernie basically offsets the affluent suburb dem pickups. Plus, with the economy humming, the rust belt might not be as sold on another change candidate (with radical social policies) as they were last time around.

That's Trump's assumption too. Which is why he abused his power to try to get a foreign government to help him defeat Joe Biden.

It's pretty clear to me anyway that Trump was looking to buy a "lock her up" 2016 style chant to use in 2020 and he tried to use taxpayer money. He knows Biden is competitive in PA and MI, etc. and was trying to do his Russian 'whataboutisms' on him in the national arena.
