Still *feels* strange to me to think of Larry Walker as a Hall of Famer when he played more than 143 games in a season only once, cleared 600 plate appearances only twice.https://twitter.com/NathanWurtzel/status/1217851970800644096 …

Walker was a tremendous player when healthy, but from 1990-2003, even adjusting for the shortened strike seasons, he averaged 131 games, 536 PA, 91 R, 89 RBI per year. That gives me pause, though he still averaged 5.0 WAR.

Leaving aside players who started in the 19th century when schedules were shorter, there are only 14 players in the Hall who had fewer than 5 seasons of 600 plate appearances. 6 of them are catchers. The non-catchers aren't the Hall's greatest selections.pic.twitter.com/CQXQYGkBbp

Evers is the only non-catcher who really stands out in a good way to me on that list.

The case for Tinker, Evers, & Chance is the transcendent impact their infield defense had in a short span of years in producing the best run-preventing team ever.pic.twitter.com/ULhVQKw7ce

Did you just happen to have a spreadsheet documenting their greatness lying around your computer, Crank? I wouldn't be surprised, I suppose.

I posted that one a while ago. I have a Dropbox file full of these charts.
