I'm still not really sold on Biden winning the nomination, but it gets harder & harder to see who amongst his opponents could win. And that's why this feels so much like Romney 2012.

I suspect 2004 was a case of, "Wow, there are really no interesting options here. Oh wait, Kerry won Iowa. Cool, let's run with that. Might as well." 2012 was a case of plenty of exciting candidates who happened to be too crazy, so Romney won by default.

I wasn't excited by any of the GOP candidates in '12, & wasn't even very excited about Romney either as the nominee. I just couldn't in any way vote for a Dem, so did my duty & voted for Romney. I can see Biden filling that role for Dems in 2020.
