I mean, there's a huge and obvious difference between mocking the titans there to be revered (at either function) and the schmoes at home watching on TV. But I don't recall the butthurt being over mocking "them" anyway. Wasn't it over mocking *him*. And also Sanders?

That's true I remember the brutal mocking of Obama as being too nerdy and smart, and also Bill Clinton as being too smart and cool. OUCH.

I seem to recall comedians finding plenty of well-deserved material for Bill Clinton. It's nothing short of fiction that Clinton wasn't regularly and severely mocked by comedians.
