Accidental destruction of culturally important sites is, of course, sadly a part of war (in 1942, we destroyed Leutze's original of Washington Crossing the Delaware!). But we should not be in the business of deliberately targeting major pieces of any nation's cultural heritage.

Amazing, an entire threat about cultural sites and war and nothing about carpet bombing German cities or firebombing Japanese cities. I guess the atom bombs dropped on Japan didn't, touch any cultural sites or something.

They hide their cyber and other military assets in cultural treasures because they know (since 1945) that we’ve gone soft. It’s a great strategy for them.
