The biggest market opportunity that hardly anybody is pursuing is information technology geared to the needs of old people. It's not glamorous, but most of the phone/laptop/web/social media market ignores how older users - people not ready for Jitterbug phones - want to use tech.

I can see the point that the NEXT wave of retirees will already be fairly tech savvy. But even so, things like simplicity and ease of use are not exclusively of interest to old people.

True! But a focus on older customers would discipline companies to do things like minimize the number of revisions that require re-learning aspects of the interface.
