Best overall career, all-in (standup, sketches, films, TV, dramas, voice work, including all the low points)?

Williams was nominated for 4 Oscars and won once. I only recall voice work from Williams and Murphy. I have never seen Murray's standup. William's film work has multiple highs for comedy and drama.

Williams's film work, on the whole, is better than Murphy's, though Murphy's highs were higher (and the Oscars rarely acknowledge comedic leads.) That's not the whole picture.

I will highlight, for those who haven't seen it, the s3 episode of Mork and Mindy titled "Mork Meets Robin Williams," which is incredibly funny *and* sad. It's a lamentation on the cost of fame which he did shortly after John Lennon's murder. Act 2 here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlNVEKrMoOw …

And an appearance by Ron Howard’s dad

OTOH, I was mentally completely forgetting all of the Wes Anderson oeuvre in my evaluation of Murray.

But I was also criminally undervaluing Murphy at his standup peak. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awvIeGWtr6I&feature=youtu.be …
